KCHD Photojournalists Slated to Shoot the 2012 Bassmaster Classic that will take place in late February on The Red River out of Shreveport, La.  James Massey, Jason Rhodes,  and Marty Dashiell will all bring viewers to the Red River in their field coverage of the Classic for BASS which will be seen on ESPN2HD.  KCHD is proud to join JM photojournalists in their HD field coverage of the largest and most exciting fishing tournament in the World! It remains one of the toughest shooting assignments in sports.
 
"THE AFFLICTED"






Osprey HD and Afflicted Picture House have recently finished their new movie "The Afflicted" which will be coming to theaters in the southeast soon.

The movie was written and directed by Jason Stoddard with Osprey HD's Lee Dashiell serving as the film's DP. The film was shot entirely in South Carolina and was recently screened by the cast and crew in Columbia.  

KCHD's Marty Dashiell and James Massey both were involved with the project shooting HD "behind the scenes" on set and editing portions of the final edit.  Long time friend and Osprey HD editor Robert Galloway served as the project's  principle editor of the film.  
 
"The Marching 100"



KCHD's Marty Dashiell recently served as the field producer for CSE's documentary on Florida A&M's Marching 100 band.  The program was shot on location in Tallahassee on the FAMU campus.  The Marching 100 project will soon be seen on ATT's UVERSE, and is being post produced by CSE's Justin Darling and will be an exciting "must see" look into America's best college marching band.

LifeFlight Eagle

KCHD was chosen to produce a specialty training program for Kansas City's premier critical care air ambulance service, LifeFlight Eagle.  

This program will be distributed throughout the metro Kansas City region to Fire, Police, EMS and Hospital personnel to ensure a continued dedication to safety in regards to the operation of its 5 helicopters in the region.  

This is the third program that KCHD has produced for LifeFlight Eagle one of which was a full
length documentary that aired on PBS in 2005 highlighting the services operation in the region.  



KCHD  in conjunction with our sister affiliate "Osprey HD" recently edited seven of Marco Rubio's commercial spots.  Marco Rubio recently was elected a United States Senator from Florida.



KCHD Producer and Director Marty Dashiell recently edited a commercial for Trey Gowdy, who recently was elected as a United States Congressman from South Carolina.
BASSMASTER CLASSIC


KCHD Photojournalists Jason Rhodes, Rob Rhodes, James Massey and Marty Dashiell all worked recently for ESPN's Coverage of the Bassmaster Classic in Birmingham, Alabama where veteran angler Kevin Vandam wins the World Championship of Bass Fishing Feb. 23, 2010.   


This is a special feature on Retired Fire Chief James G. "Jim" Broockerd.  16mm Film was shot by the late Phil French, long time photographer for KMBC 9 News in Kansas City with photos from Lane and Noel Klein, legendary fire service photographers in Johnson County Kansas.  This is an essay on character as well as a tribute to Chief Broockerd's "Legacy of Excellence" and we were proud to work on this program.
HOOKED ON BASS
KCHD's James Massey served as a DP on a soon to be broadcast National Geographic documentary entitled "Hooked on Bass". This special is part of Nat Geo's "Wild Series" and is airing on the National Geographic Channel, in high definition, on Feb. 2nd at 10pm est and Feb. 28th at 8pm est.

The series was produced and directed by JM Associates Coordinating Producer Tim Schick and is a must see 1-hour documentary on the culture of bassfishing.
